Dr Greg Wang

After graduating from Nottingham Medical School in 1996, Dr Wang embarked on surgical training. Upon completion of his surgical rotation, he worked in emergency medicine whilst undertaking membership exams for the Royal College of Surgeons. He decided on ENT and trained in various centres including the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear hospital in London, going on to work within the specialty to registrar level.

Personal circumstances pulled him away from hospital training for a time, though he continued to work in both emergency medicine and ENT. During this time, he completed a law degree.

Returning to medicine full time, Dr Wang retrained as a GP and completed this in 2010. His experience naturally led him to work as a GP with a special interest in ENT and he has worked with the Sussex community ENT service for the last 15 years, during which he was lead clinician for a period. He continues to be part of the current community service.

He also works in the Urgent Treatment Centres within University Hospitals Sussex making use of his GP and Emergency medicine background.

Outside of medicine, he has a keen interest in languages, food and wine, speaks fluent Cantonese and Mandarin and can confidently navigate menus and wine lists in German, French and Spanish. He also has 2 young daughters who make life very interesting!
